Cactus Canyon Nation Junior Honor Society went on a bowling trip Jan. 28 at the East Valley Bowling Center in Mesa. The trip is is a way for members to get together and socialize as a group. Students got a chance to meet other NJHS members and form friendships among the group.
To be eligible for the two-hour bonding trip, students needed to have good grades, parent permission, and a good behavior report from their teachers. There was a $12 cost for the rental shoes and lanes.
“(I went) on the bowling trip because it’s another chance to hang out with all my friends and have fun,” said eighth grader Taylor Simmons.
About 20 students went on the trip, which is an annual event for NJHS. oing on the trip.
“I love going on this trip,” said adviser Lisa Smith. “I get to interact with the students on a different level. We are able to just connect and share how the year is going.”
