On March 1, Student Council members had the opportunity to taste test some new items the AJUSD Food Services department is considering adding to the school lunch menus for next year.
Karen Warhus contacted the group in order to give students an opportunity to try out new foods. She said she feels that if the students are going to eat the food they should say if they like it or not.
Warhus has been traveling to every school in the district to have students try new foods and provide feedback.
The Cactus Canyon council tasted a breakfast pizza with eggs and bacon and two different types of pepperoni pizza. Students had cards to write what they liked and didn’t like about each one.
“I think the students were honest and there were definitely items they liked more than others,” said StuCo adviser Jason Davis. “I hope they provided helpful feedback because it could affect what everyone in the district is eating next year.”

I’ve been eating the food for 20 years. Other than loosing my hair, I haven’t had any side affects!
