National Junior Honors Society (NJHS) members worked hard and sufficient on completing their community service hours in order to attend the trip to Disneyland. On April 28-28, all of that hard work paid off.
NJHS members had to complete the minimum of 20 hours of community service and have all grades standing at a 70 percent or higher in order to spend a day riding rides and making memories.
“Some memories I made were going on little kids rides,” eighth grader Ashley Johnson said.
Going to Disneyland was a chance for students to create new friendships, which was an opportunity many took.
“I made so many new friends,” Emily Anderson said. “I talked to people I never have before.”
National Junior Honors Society members recall that the day of excitement was definitely worth the hours worked to deserve the trip.
“It was really fun, whether it was riding rides, or being with friends, I had an awesome time,” said Anderson.
Members of the National Junior Honors Society say that going to Disneyland with each other was the perfect way to end the year.
