Anderson’s complete game leads Cougars to baseball win

In a rematch with Mountain Vista on Thursday, the Cactus Canyon baseball team scored three early runs and never looked back in a 12-4 win over the Panthers.
Ian McIntyre led the Cougars at the plate, going 4-for-4, while Chase McFadden, Prescott Horn, Nick Mohn, and Moises Rascon each added two hits.
While the win was an all-around team effort, coach Carlos Acosta said pitcher Justin Anderson’s complete game was huge for CCJH.
“Justin has shown strong leadership on the mound in the last two games, picking up two straight victories,” Acosta said.
As the regular season is winding down, the Cougars are beginning to look toward the playoffs.
“Our team is starting to click and everyone is beginning to understand their role on the team,” said Acosta. “As a coach, I am enjoying watch(ing) these boys come together.”
